Hey there, I’m Dane from Vancouver, BC. I currently am a project manager, specifically doing clinical research work in obstetrics, which definitely keeps me busy! On my spare time, when I’m not keeping up with analyses on various tasks or responding to work emails (I have spare time?), I play the piano, hang out with friends, trying different restaurants and new cuisines, and watching movies. I also love to stay active, playing volleyball, doing yoga, hiking, or just working out. I’m a huge foodie. Growing up, I always loved watching the FoodNetwork, and I spent a lot of time in the kitchen, cooking or baking various things. Since completing my Master of Public Health, and having more time to be able to work out and exercise, I realized it was time to take an active change on diet and lifestyle. I started eating more wholesome foods, with no (or maybe few…) processed junk or refined-sugars. It has left me feeling healthy and energized, but I definitely know how tough and challenging it is to eat right with a full plate on your hands (pun intended!)

What will you find on this blog?

I am what people have termed ‘flexitarian’. What that really means is actively incorporating vegetarian or plant-based meals, while enjoying meat every now and then. I will attempt to showcase the recipes I use in my daily life, which more often than not ends up being vegan, and sometimes even paleo. Don’t get me wrong, I still do enjoy my poultry and fish sometimes, and on occasion eat red meats.  You’ll be surprised at how awesome they taste, while still being completely healthy and guilt-free! I am new to this world of blogging, so please bear with me!

Hope you enjoy 🙂
