Butternut Squash Pasta


Butternut squash is probably my favourite type of squash around. It’s just the right amount of sweetness and is so versatile, you can use it in anything from pasta to sauces to soups, and it can even be a pumpkin replacement in desserts!

For Canadian Thanksgiving, I made a roasted maple butternut squash, with cinnamon, maple syrup, and chilli powder. What a delicious and healthy side. Roasted Tomato Sauce


So it’s Canada Day here, and that means all things red and white! And what better way than making a red sauce 😉


That wasn’t why I made this… but it is red! I love a good tomato sauce. And I love pasta. I’ve already posted a couple sauce recipes, but this time, I thought I’d make a simple roasted red tomato sauce. It really tastes so much better than the jarred stuff you find at the store. I mean, of course it would be, when you use the freshest ingredients with no additives or preservatives. And you control what you put in it.
